Bama,

There's a good chance I won't have gotten the big bore kit by then. Hopefully, if I'm ready by next summer, we can find eachother on this message board again. As far as the axle, I'll have to check with my brother. We used to have a few extra stock 250 axles but I put one on my q-sport and my brother is planning on putting one back on one of his 250's which currently has an aftermarket wider axle so that he can have a stock width quad for the woods and trail riding. But we could have another one. I'm just not sure. I'll post here again if he thinks we have one that we could sell.

Vinson581,

That's a good idea. I actually thought of that too but I think I'm going to wait until I'm ready to work on my sport, and then if I can't find enough people interested, I'll sell the extra kit(s) on eBay. However, right now, I have about 3 quads to restore before I start on my sport, plus I just bought a show truck that is taking up all my spare time and money right now.

well, i finally pulled the trigger and dropped off the motor for a bottom up rebuild. we split the cases last night and checked the crank. there's a bulletin on the 85. i had an early model w/ the undersized oiler but i was lucky and my crank & rod are good. the oiler can be drilled out to proper specs and all will be well.
otherwise, pretty much everything else is being replaced.
