Looks like it will give it more hp and hopefully fix the takeoff, depending what maps u use. Looks like all our emails 2 them is working. I wouldnt worry about the warranty, just unplug the box and put your stock one back in if theres problems.

If they fix the power issue with the power commander AND if the reverse problem turns out to be isolated incidents or is easily remedied then a King Quad just may be in my future. Better yet, if they come out with a manual, I will be all over it.

Reverse problem is isolated. A guy was installing clips backwards. This means the KQ is still one of the most trouble free Quads out.

Nyroc,
What do you mean that the problem is isolated and that the person was installing clips backwards?
I haven't had the slightest problem with my King Quad and it is the only Utility based quad I would purchase right now.

He means that the problem with reverse that many KQ owners were having has been found, isolated, and fixed.

Whether you had the problem or not is irrelevant to the fact that a large number of other owners did.

According to a post on another forum, there were 4 people with this problem out of 8000.

It is not a design flaw, but a manufacturing flaw. Isolated and not widespread. It should not affect you.

The news about this problem has spread like wildfire, however, the number of people with the problem is very small and there does not appear to be new cases every day either.

I think it is a done deal and we can forget about it, IMO. IMO because I am only going on hearsay.

I was under the impression that the problem was more widespread than that. I personally know of someone in my town with the issue, I am friends with his mechanic.

It is possible that that is a damage control kind of rumor. The kind of thing they say to prevent us from telling everyone else not to get one.

I thought the problems had basically stopped. Are they still popping up on a regular basis?
