02 vinson slipping when i start out

i been noticing that my 02 vinson slipping when i start out now and then..
do you think the belt needs adjusting?
if so whats involved ?

there no adjustment its time to replace the belt and it pretty easy to do.just pick up a manual for the bike it like a 30 minute job!

may be water. there is a removable bolt in the bottom of the belt case.

all the vinsons do this it seems, and a new belt wont help. as long as its not slipping when you are going under normal driving then it should be ok, all of the vinnys i have seen have done this.

02 vinson slipping when i start out

Define "slipping". V581 knows what I'm talking about, and if it is after nailing the brakes, then hammering it-you hear a slight howl-it's normal. Something to do w/ the back shift.
