I am having trouble gitting my LT to hold air in the rear shock. The rear shock is very soft and i would like to harden it up just a little, how do i do this?

 

sounds like you rezzy has a leak, if you find an OEM rezzy that will work on an 86 LT let me now. My buddy cant find one.

 

#1 it does not take air it takes Nitrogen
#2 you can have it rebuilt the seals are prob blown from all the years of abuse.

i'm sure you thought of this but just in case..... when you say soft do you mean it compresses to easily but not to quickly? if this is the case the you can adjust the preload on the spring.


But if it compresses to easily and to quickly then you may need to refill the oil and replace the seal. Even if you were out of nitrogen the shock would still perform well at first each time you ride the bike but would get worse quickly.

My shock compresses to quick and to easily. i probably need to send it in to get resealed and stuff but thanks for the help.
