Default Fuel **** Assembly for Vinson

Has any Vinson owners had any problems with the fuel **** assembly?

I took my ATV in the other day because it was time for a regular maintenance and I had a cupon for 15% off so I said what the heck I'd let the dealer do it this time. I'm mainly just lazy to take the plastic off to check the valves. The next day I got a call saying that the fuel **** assembly had to be repaced. They said that no matter what position the fuel valve is in the fuel continues to flow and will eventually flood out when the machine is not being used. They said that there was another machine in for the same thing and that the part was on back order so it will be three weeks before I'll have my ride back. The entire assembly is going to cost me $75. I thought that was high so I search in internet and most places have it at the same price. I don't recall seeing this posted anywhere else so I thought I'd ask.

I didn't have any troubles when I had my Vinson. If I remember right, the fuel petcock is a vacuum type system so the fuel doesn't flow unless the motor is turning over. Unless you've had trouble with your machine flooding out after sitting for a couple days, I'd tell your mechanic to keep his grubs off. By the way, did he tell you to grab your ankles when he told you this?

Sounds like they need some work and are trying to make some. Also, unless you give them the ok for the work, they are not entitled/authorized to repair at their discretion.

Yeah I thought the same thing but I told them to order the part because I wasn't sure. Before I brought it in I had no problems. Here I wanted to go riding with the guys this weekend too and it will not be for another 3 weeks or so before I get to go out again. I think they already took it all off and now I'm hosed or am I?
