lt 250 hardstart

i just traded some stuff for an 89 lt250 its been piped, possibly 20over, it runs awsome when it runs the problem is that it almost always has to be pull started. is there a reason it wont kick over, and is the there a solution for this problem. thanx for any help.

There's almost a secret to starting them. You basically use only the bottom third of the kick. Push the kicker all the way down, then lift it up about 1/3 to 1/2 on a compression stroke and try it that way. My wife can hardly start mine, but once you figure it out then it starts fairly easy.
