yoshi jetting for z400

Default yoshi jetting for z400

I just bought a Z400 and ordered tho noss adapter with k and n filter. I also ordered the yoshi comp full exhaust. I live in Phoenix, AZ. what main jet should I run? what clip on the stock needle should I be. Thanks

I got the sparks pipe and it said 3rd clip and 3.5 turns out on the screw and a 150 main...but it falls on it's face in 3rd gear ?????????????I have to pull the plug and see whats up...I can't tell if it's rich or lean

I run a 170 main and the clip is on the 3rd
but its been hopped up alittle

I backed down to a 146 and she's running fine now.Just ripped my nieghbors Honda 400ex a new a$$hole out in the street...now he's pi$$ed at me.lol

It makes a diference if you run the airbox lid or not. Without the lid I ran a 160 mainjet, Im at ~600ft above sea level. If i put the lid on its way to rich.

I think the CT pipe calls for a richer jetting than the Sparks pipe...I had the lid off and on and it really started bogging in mid throttle from 2nd gear to 4th gear...couldn't even get it into 5th...that was with the 150...146 without the lid and she seemed to smooth right out....maybe I put too much foam oil on the filter...lol
