Can any of the 05 KQ owners tell me how many miles they are able to get out of a tank of gas? And if you dont mind what size tires you are running?

Thanks

Hey Muddy4life,

You used to be a die hard Polaris guy right, like the chain drives, now you have a Suzuki, alot more reliable eh! So far anyway.
I remember way back, I used to be Yam8, well I'm driving a Bombardier Traxter XT now, that thing is the most reliable and tough machine Ive ever seen. One problem though, way too heavy, goods and bads I guess. Just dont' get it on top of you.

Muddy4life,

That is incredible mileage, man thats like 10 more miles to the gallon compared to the 750 Brute. I am hearing 50 to 60 on the Brute.

I am trying to decide on a new quad and really want to like the Brute but there is so much going for the KQ it really makes it hard to put down the cash for the Brute.

Just to compare does anyone else have numbers on how far a tank will take them on their KQ or Brute.

Thanks guys

I really never was a fan of the chain driven 4x4 quads, but thats all you could buy the 400cc Xplorer in.

And I dont miss either one of my Polaris ATVs in the least bit.Polaris and reliability dont even belong in the same sentenance,at least not if they are made before 2002.I drove a new Honda Rincon for two yrs before I bought my KQ,and it was a very nice ATV,it just lacked FEATURES and was WAY over PRICED.

I allmost bought a new BF,but after a long and carefull RE-CONCIDERATION,I felt it just had FAR too many first yr issues directly out of the crate. And I am VERY glad I bought the KQ instead.NO problems so far.

I dont know for sure exactly how many miles i was getting outta mine but i did compare it to my 03 Prairie 360 one day. My KQ got better gas mileage then it did.. We rode the exact same ride and i had to put less in my KQ to fill it up then what the prairie took.

My low gas light came on at 66mi, but that was with a lot of heavy towing. I would expect 80mi+ trail riding.
