Vinson plow and winch questions
#1
First of all i would like to say hi to everyone since im a newb here, and i just bought a Vinson 500 Automatic about 3 months ago and im looking into getting a 48" snow plow and i want to do a winch lift with it. What is the best setup to go with on this quad, and is it possible to do the winch lift, and what parts would i need to get. Thanks in advance. Richard.

I have a 60" Cycle Country on mine with a Warn 2.5 winch. I just added a hook to the winch cable and was ready to go. On mine, the mounting brackets for the plow attached easily and it is a snap to put on/take off the plow.

Thanks, i figured it would be no problem but i was looking into buying it and it showed that a manual lift is required for the Automatic Vinson. And i heard that i already have the mounting bracket for the winch, i was wanting to know if i heard wrong or not also. Im kinda new to all of this so i dont know exactly what im getting myself into right now. All i know is im happy with the Vinson Auto, my buddy got a vinson 5 speed with exhaust filter and jetted, and it cannot keep up to save its life. Now i just need to get the plow and winch setup, Thanks for the help.

2002 vinson with moose county plow 60" with winch, warn 2500 with a new rope, not cable, old cable was shot so I'm trying the rope, about $45..no trouble here pushing heavy snow.goes on and off very nice!

I have an Eiger and just put a 60" Power Blade on and it works great!!! I would recommend the 60" over the 48" as it keeps the snow away from your tires for better grip and a faster cleaner job.

So not to bug you all too much, but what kind of price would i be looking at if i get the middle grade warn winch, or superwinch, and get a 48" plow ( so i can fit it in my shortbed truck still ) and any mounting kits nessecary with the winch lift. Thanks a ton.

Warn 2.5 w/ mounting kit about 300.00 on e-bay. Roller fairlead included. Straight forward instructions, e-z install. Took me about 2 hrs., taking my time and thoroughly routing wires etc. Plow? Have no idea as I see snow about once every 3 years!
