Default tomorrow's decision HMF/or not?

I am going to the suzuki shop tomorrow and i am trying to decide if buying an HMF slip-on is worth it? I have the stock pipe now and I just wanted to know whether it is even gonna show a significant difference over the stock pipe or not? Thanks.....I hope i can get some replys before 10:00 tomorrow to help me decide.

Just changing the pipe doesn't do much for HP. You need to get more air and fuel in there also, ie; no airbox lid and jetting...........

Get the pipe you will notice a big difference, and of course re-jet.

Well, i ordered the pipe today. I got the black hmf. It will be in next week. I am gonna go a couple sizes bigger on the jet and ditch the airbox lid. Thanks for your advice, I will let you know what I think of it in a couple weeks. I am gonna have to get to st. joe first so i can open it up and see how it runs.

I am thinking now of getting the K&N filter airbox lid, and K&N filter. I dont wanna have to worry about getting crap in my airbox, and having too clean it all the time. I ride in a dusty area and no airbox lid would let in alot more dust. I think the K&N filterlid would let plenty of air in. what do you guys think?

There are a couple of other airbox lids made from other companies that I would check out first. K&N make good products, but they are way overpriced. There lids are $100 and I have seen the other lids for $60. Just do a search and you'll find them. Sorry I don't have the names for you.

A K & N with a pro design sounds good, you have to do some drilling but it's real easy, and after that you just clamp on the K&N to it, it keeps dirt from getting to the engine or the carb. Real good setup that will let your engine breat better.
