WOW!!! Now that's crazy. So which one did you like best when testing them out? Is one for you and the other for the wife or something? I bet once you get the Polaris you will not want the Grizz...lol.

I am going to use the Polaris for when I got hunting and for utility purposes around the house.

I will keep the Yamaha Grizz for myself and Probably end up getting the wife something a bit smaller like the kodiak.
She is just a beginner rider.

When I first test drove the Polaris 800 down in the lower 48 I couldnt believe how much of a beast that thing was. It is huge but it has power to push it around.

It sounds really nice with the duals on there too. Great machine and I cant wait to get it.

We will have to go riding sometime this summer outrage and I will let you check it out

I know this is off topic But I would pick the Polaris 500 Sportsman over either of your choices. It is probably the best selling 500 out there with a ton of aftermarket parts. And we have the dealer in town. There are probably more Polaris dealers in Alaska to access for parts also. I dont know what type of price you are talking But I am guessing you could get a new 500 for about 6200.

I have owned a Polaris 500 in the past. They are good machines. No question.

I just want to try something different.

Yes the 500 Sportsman is a good machine no doubt but I wouldn't put it above the Vinson or the new Arctic Cat.

Jaykers,

You're using the big 800 monster for hunting with those loud pipes? In any case I would love to take it for a spin I'm sure it's Awesome!! With all those huge machines you're going to make me look like a little kid riding a power wheels.

Well, I dont intend on sneaking up on anything with it. But I will use it to haul back whatever I get. HAHHAA

Those Vinson's are small, but they sure have alot of power.

And anyways, Anything is small up against an 800 sportsman.

Hey guys,
I am looking to purchase a new ATV.

So far I have it narrowed down to two ATV's.

Yamaha 660 Grizzly
Suzuki Vinson 500 Auto

Now I know that the Grizzly is bigger BUT, the reason I have narrowed it down to these two is that I have test drove both and like the way both handle.
I LOVE the way the grizzly looks. I know its a bit tippy, but I have found it to be an all around NICE 4x4. Also, very realiable with tons of accessories and upgrades available.

The Vinson is a great 4x4 as well with nice power.

What would you guys recommend as far as purchasing one of these goes.
I was down to the Grizz and a King Quad and for the little difference in the price I went with the King.

I love the EFI and the IRS!
