Default Works Shocks, I need them!

Allright, i'm ready to step up to the plate and buy some shocks. I've had my eye on the Works Triple Rates with reservoirs. If anyone knows where i can get them for a good price, or has any for sale please let me know. Or if anyone knows about a better shock for the money i could use that info too. It just has to work with the stock a-arms and it can't be zero preload because i will be doing some cross country. Just the fronts for now, that's all my limited budget will allow. Thanks.

I'm looking for the same setup right now, except i don't think im going to go with the resivoirs...I can always add them on later if i want. I think i'm going to order mine from alba. They want like 379(no resivoirs). Ive seen them for 10 bucks cheaper, but the one's from alba have black and white springs which i like better than the blue, red and white. A few other places i looked that had good prices were rocky mountain, and i think it was magic racing. I think if you order them directly from works performance, they want almost 400, the ones with the resivoirs are more.

why don't you just wait and get the Black Widows that Works make, they are awesome looking and they are better quality than their normal shocks for not that much more.

yeah get a new dirt wheels magazine and look through it, they are brand new race shocks that are top of the line works shocks, alot better than those regular ones.

Make sure you weigh your self with all your gear on. Works are very picky on weight. I made the mistake of ordering to my weight and not adding for gear and they were way to soft.

Yeah, those Black Widows look sick but as you stated they are for racing. They are zero pre load if i am not mistaken, which would give me too low of a ride height for trails and cross country. So those are out, any more suggestions?

i have heard you get them setup 10lbs lighter then you are?

i am in the same boat, i just want my bike to ride softer, and take the hits better, i cant see getting elka elites for trail. tripple rate works should be ok with rezzi, i am going to get mine on ebay used... and then send them to a reputable place to get them valved for my weight.
