um, what you said makes no sense what-so-ever. how does being a 2 stroke have ANYTHING to do with traction.....

a lot actually. the rest he made no sense. that 450r prolly has 45-47hp and the zilla prolly has 50 or maybe a lil more. a 2 stroke spins more then a 4 stroke, especially the 450r. they hook up and go

being a 2 stroke has nothing to do with spinning the tires......

ok genius then u tell all of us why. being that a 2 stroke delivers its power more instantaneously and where it makes its best power it produces a "hit" which makes the wheels spin.............................................. .................................................. .................................................. ..........

The LT500 in the drag is legendary. The 450r is a MX quad. Newer quad owners sometimes don't understand the power of a 2 stroke. 499cc of 2 stroke power. Wow. I wish I had one. The 450r would dust it overall on a good MX track. However it is my opinion that a healthy LT500 would smoke just about anything not severly upgraded in the drag.

its actually 499.5 lol it is. anyway u dont understand that the zilla isnt in that high of a state of tune. idc if its a 500 or not, if its not tuned the same as something it should beat, it wont beat it that much or may even lose. like i said the two mentioned here should be close with the zilla winning i think if its a 1/4. where is the guy that made this topic anyway?

im here i was just wondering what you guys thought my buddy picked one up today for $2200 and its really nice i drove it and it felt like it had good power only got it to 4th gear though. i was also wondering if all zilla's have a slight vibration like his has and i dont know if its his clutch being out of adjustment or somthing but when you shift through the gears the tranny feels fine but when you downshift theey dont click through each gear it just felt kind of sloppy when i was downshifting.

PS: i let you guys know who wins the race this weekend he wants to take it easy on it for a while to make sure everything is ok with it.

Actually a properly "tuned" 2-stroke will not have an abrubt hit, it will deliver its power smoothly, just get to the upper RPM's faster than MOST 4-strokes. Now if its not "tuned properly it will produce a "hit", in this case you are just wasting power to be had. And most healthy LT500R's feal like a massive 4-stroke that just keeps on climbing, they are notorious for being torque monsters.

IMHO if the 450 wins then there is something seriously wrong with the Zilla

yep also known as when it hits the powerband. 2 strokes do spin too much, as a matter of fact i'm running mud sharks on my 250R and i still spin more than my brother's 400ex with stock tires. more less if you go into a mudhole slow on a 2 stroke and the romp on the gas in the middle of it, you'll just bury the tires and hopefully you're riding with someone who has a 4wd to pull you out.

I agreeee with spoRtRax450R all the way on this
