King Quad Rider reviews
#1
I'm looking at buying an ATV by the end of this month and would like to know some true rider reviews of the King Quad. The pros, cons, and how it compares to a Grizzly 660. This will be my first ATV purchase so I want to make sure I am getting the best one. Seems like all of them have some advantages over the other in their class and vice versa. Thanks for the info guys.

i have never ridden a grizzly 660, but the king rides smoother and handles much better than my friends brute force. I haven't ridden w/ him yet since i've had the king but i know from riding his that the brute is more powerful. The king has a lot more power than a rincon and it its about a 160lbs lighter than the sportsman 700 and u can tell when riding the sportsman.

To me,the King is a more refined, better handling Grizz.I owned a 2003 Grizz and really liked it,but lost it to a shed fire and now own a King.I do not like the small racks on the King, but I like the hitch better and also the diff. lock feature is a simpler design. The handlebar mounted headlight is also a nice feature. The King is wider than the Grizz, thus being less tippy.I do not like the plastic front end of the King,or the way it sticks way out like a point either.(TIP,loading it in a pickup frontwards the King looks like it will go through your rear window so be carefull loading)The Grizz also started better in the cold than my King, although the King has always started, even in -20 temps. The gas tank on the King is also mounted lower and behind you, where the Grizz's is up high making it more top heavy.Hope this helps.

I have not ridden a grizzly myself but i do ride with a guy that does have one. Two things that i like about my KQ better from what i have noticed is one the extra lighting the third headlight brings you, and the next reason which is most important of them all in my opinion is the gas mileage. The KQ just gets flat out awesome gas mileage for a big bore bike. The last time i had mine out i used 2 gallons of gas on a 43 mile ride we took the other day. Thats better then the prairie 360 i just sold. My beef with the KQ is the cheesy tires. Ya will need to replace them bad boys if you wanna keep using ur stock rims. If ya dont they will flex to much in real rough terrain and bend your rims. I bent mine first whole day. However i was in some real rough stuff to. Thats just how i ride. That is also how i lost my reverse also. However i am not sweating that.. From what i am seeing suzuki is gonna put out a recall on the KQ to replace the ecm. I myself think that this will fix it cause it sounds like what there describing as how it failed may very well be the problem. I can live with 70 to 75% reverse power. Its a beefy engine thats for sure... Overall though i love the quad. Dont want anything else. Very comfy, very smooth and more then enough power for me...
