exhaust valve adj. help

Default exhaust valve adj. help

Can someone tell me how to adjust the exhaust expansion valve on my 88 Lt 250 R ? thanks

Default exhaust valve adj. help

With the cover on the dial side off assemble and install the exhaust valve then put the cover on and leave the screws loose then turn the dial 360 degrees counter clockwise and tighten screws down dont forget to reconnect linkage on other side if cylinder has been off...

i realize thats how you do it from scratch, but is there no more adjustment needed after it runs? what if the spring tension is out of wack? i mean i dont know but thats why im asking... thanks for the info either way..

what are any signs of it being out of adjustment? or are there any?

Default exhaust valve adj. help

the exhaust valve gives you a much better power band the faster you rev the the engine. Is what creates exhuast gas preasure which turns the valve so you get a much better top end performance, While still giving you great low end power so if it is not working properly you would only notice it on the top end if you think the spring is stretched just replace it.
