New Team Suzuki/Yoshimura Full Exhaust System.. Few Questions
#1
Hey All,
I installed my new Team Suzuki/Yoshimura Full Exhaust system today, and i wanted to ask a few questions...
I was going to buy the Yoshimura TEC kit because i was told the pipe is 98db with out the inserts, and 96db, or 94db with the insert (Depending on the size insert)
Well the Team Suzuki version has a pretty small exhaust port in the pipe, so i was curious if it already has the 94db insert.. I was thinking since its Team Suzuki maybe it comes with the 94db insert because Suzuki wants it to be quite..
I started it up, though not for long since i have to take it in to get rejetted tomarrow, and it sounds awesome, and doesn't sound all that much louder then the stock pipe, though it does have a different tone. I would think if it was 98db it would be pretty loud..
So i am hoping someone here know the answer...
Also i E-Mailed JC Motors, and ATV dealer to see get a price on the TEC Kit, and this is the responce i got.. "Yoshimura does not sell the TEC kit's anymore. They have been discontinued. They do have a insert for lower decibel level for $20. It's a totally new design than the TEC kit."
Does anyone know anything about this? I have never head they discontinued the TEC kit untill this e-mail... Just curious what 'totally new design' could that possibly have come up with!?
Thanks all,
-ThaChad

You can tell you have a TEC insert in when the exhaust opening is a inner ring between 1/2"-1" in diameter, inside of the larger outside diameter of the tailpipe opening. My team Yoshi full came with the TEC insert already bolted in it, and I removed it for future use (as needed for Db sensitive riding areas).
