jetting

If you get a slip-on, yes you have to re-jet. to re-jet you have to take the carb off. Usually with a slip-on, you just have to change the mainjets, so you would take the float bowl off the carb and swap mainjets.

if you get more air flow you have to re-jet, period. Even removeing the airbox lid means your gonna need to rejet. As far as re-jetting goes I leave that to a mechanic. I payed $6 for the jet $75 to have it installed. I would rather just let someone who knows what they are doing work on my bike so i can rely on it, and not have to worry about it screwing up on me.
