Default Mods for a '04 ltz 250

My son and I wanted to have a little fun modifying his z250, we've already got full skid protection, nerf bars, etc. I wanted to help him get a little more power, any suggestions from personal experience with the pipes that are out there for this machine, what kind of jetting will need to be done, and what was the over all gain? Also, we wanted to get wheel spacers for the quad, haven't seen any listed for the 250 are they the same as the z400, as I see people have them on their 250's, we've got a K&N filter, any other suggestions for more power??? Thanks alot for any input !!!!

My friend has a z250 and he has just about every performacne mod for it and etc. He has a Yoshimura pipe, TR jet kit, twinair filter, nerfs, bumper, carbon fiber gas tank cover, shock covers etc... well anyways his z250 performs great with all his performance parts and it has great low end power as well as top end. It sounds sweet and looks great. I would look into a pipe, jets and take off your airbox lid for best performance. There are many exhaust systems, jet kits for this quad if you check out rockymountainatv.com for any help on choosing pipes and jet kits. Good Luck

Do you know if the Yoshimura pipe that your friend has is the one offered directly through Suzuki or is it the comp. series tri-oval offered through Rocky Mt. atv. Also do you know if there is a difference in performance, as the one through Suzuki lists for $130 more than the one at Rocky Mt. ATV???Thanks for your reply!!

Wheel spacers for a z400 will indeed fit (front and back)
I am using z400 wheels all around on my z250 (wheel package offered through rockymountain)
