Default Z400 CDI BOX

I was thinking of putting a 10K CDI box on (the quad in my signature) I was wondering if i could get some input from some guys that have them or don't have them. I've heard good and bad. I think for the flat track racing I do, It would be a plus but just was wondering what the forum thought. Also give me the best brands for the money. Thanx in advance.

Default Z400 CDI BOX

From what I have read most of the CDI boxes are made by PROCOM, with the exception of Dyna, Vortex, and Yoshi. The procom CDI mainly gives a 1000rpm higher rev limiter, I have heard of them giving as little as 300rpm's. The Yoshi also only gives a higher rev limiter. The Vortex and Dyna CDI boxes give a higher rev limiter and have an adjustable timing curves. Dyna just came out with a cheaper non-adjustable version (Im going to get this one). It is about $250 instead of $350ish.
