Hello, this is my first post on this site. I am in the process of getting my first quad. I am seriously considering a z 400.. My dealer as both the 04 and 05 models. I have done some research on the 05 and it seems to have some nice upgrades over the 04. He gave me a price on both, with the 05 being only $500 more than the 04. I think I can get him to come down quite a bit on the 04. Should I just pay the extra to get the updated 05? Whats your thoughts? Also what did everyone pay for their 05 this year. Thanks.

 

What was the price of the 05? I would choose the 05 over the 04, very different IMO.

 

He gave me $5299 for the 04 and $5799 for the 05. Another dealer gave me a price for the KFX 400 for $5517, and $5859 OTD so I told him he would have to a least match me that OTD price for the 05. He has at least 5 04's in the show room he told me he wants to get rid of first. So I think he will deal a little on those. For $500 I would much rather get the 05, but a $1000 better, I might want to get the 04.

 

the 04 would be nice if they drop the price alittle more
but I would get the 05 Z400 for the upgrades

 

I found a new on the show-room floor Z400 Limited Editon for $4500.00 is it worth it or not. Im really thinking I should sell my 2002 400EX and go for it. Or do you think I Should hold out for the 2005 Z400. That Limited looks awsome though. HELP!!!!!!!

 

thats a toughey but since i have a limited i would go with the limited if i were you, especially since it is gonna cost you $1100 less than the 05. You could buy some shocks and a pipe with that money saved and be better off then buying the 05.

 

It is worth the extra 500! So get the 05 Z-400!!
