Just wondering with the reverse problem issue going on, and Suzuki's negligence. At one point I was regretting buying a Brute, but now I think now I'm glad I did. It's a shame, because I think the KQ should be a great machine if it wasn't for this gremlin. Just curious what you guys think.

.....YES I'm very upset about suzuki and the way they are handling this matter..I've been on the phone with them 3 times, for over 1/2 hour each time in califorina..trying to get them to commit to covering a future reverse failure..I worked very hard to save up to pay for this machine, and need to keep it for several years..I don't feel I have to buy their overpriced extended warranty, because of their poor engineering design...( 4 year ext warranty retails $750 to$800.00)... if I had a chance to get my money back....knowing what I know now..I'd do it, ...like right now..IF we were talking about somthing that costs only,... say $200.-- to $300.00..I could handle that, if they wouldn't warranty it..but man, I've heard of costs up to $2500.00. for repairs...and for those that say..yea suzuki "will" or "should" take care of it..they are full of it..there is no guaranty on suzukis word they will cover it..Your concern is valid and legtimate, but most of all WISE..we didn't have a choice because we hadn't heard about the failure yet..there is also disappointment in how the new ECM (Electronic control module) works..70 to 75% power in reverse for only 60 seconds with override, then you must stop and start again...picture that in a deep snowdrift or mud hole....a $7000.00 machine and its changed to this..someone else said its, kind of like taking your cadillac to the dealer for an "Update" and getting back a "Geo Metro"..we traded in a 03 vinson 5 spd and loved it..wish we had the vinson choice over .. the vinson is nice..maybe next year they will have the problem solved..but the way this company is handling it is disgracefull to all of us, their customers..I would expect this with a machine and company from China..but would never thought it would be Suzuki.... go over to www.highlifter.com and other ones like that..and man..its full of anger toward suzuki motorcycle company..now what I consider a third world motorcycle company,IMO.. matter of fact.... kQ would be a GREAT machine if is wasn't for this major problem..they need to address it fast..!! I would have bought a 2nd KQ this summer..maybe I stll will IF they come through..the waiting sucks...!! thanks again for the vent

I love my new KQ and have not had anything but good times with this machine[VERY dependable],BUT,if I would have known about the reverse issue and Suzuki's band-aid fix back on October 28th of 2004,I would have NEVER bought this quad in the first place.

I just got it back for the new ECM and it SUCKS..I was backing out of a small ice hole today and needed more wheel speed in reverse.I took my hand off the overide button for a second, and it went into the spit/sputter mode..I had to wait 5 seconds for it to reset itself so I could push in the reverse overide button again to acheive enough wheel speed to get my butt out of there.

I will file a suit against Suzuki if my reverse EVER fails me..And no matter how much I LOVE this quad,I would NOT recommend anyone buying one until a permanent fix is assured.

I, like others love the king quad, except for the big black eye. I really wish they would get off their a** and give us something in writing that they will cover this design flaw. If they would do that Id be very happy with my purchase. As it is, I am sorry.

Yeah I have been trying to make up my mind on a new bike. I am tired of little stupid problems, I was finally locked in on the KQ. Now I don't know! I have heard way too many good reviews for it not to be great, However reverse is important! So now I am back to square one

I don't regret buying a King Quad. I just wished I would have waited until the reverse issue was taken care of. It really is a great machine. Although I am considering buying another quad for my wife I am not sure it will be another KQ. At least with this issue left up in the air.
