Well no KQ for me.

So after reading about the reverse gear problem we decided to pick up a 05 / 650 Arctic cat LE instead. I wanted to go EFI but who wants to have to worry about reverse gear troubles? So if Suzuki reads this, you guys need to take care of your problems you will loose customers. Trust me I love the KQ but need something to take the abuse we give our quads.

I wanted a KQ too but hauled home a grizz instead. Dealer said they never heard of reverse problem on KQ! So I asked them if they ever heard of 01 raptor 2nd gear problems, never heard of that either! I asked them if they ever read any atv forums, they said they keep up on them. I find this hard to believe since there was a new ecm provided by zuki for this prob wasn't there? Anyways, just letting everyone know this zuki customer switched brands and dealers because of this reverse issue. (and dealer denying any known problems) Maybe this particular dealer will read this since they keep up on the forums so well, HA! Went with the grizz since it's been out for a while and figured I wouldn't have any suprizes with this proven line.

Congrats on the new Grizz!I think you made the right choice!I own a KQ and the reverse is still working with 240 miles on it(knock on wood). I would be leary of a dealer saying they never heard of the reverse issue,or other past problems?I think they just want your $$,like most dealers that don't give a rats a#$ about the customer!Let us know what your impressions with the Grizz are?Have fun!!

Can't blalme you. If I had known the issue prior to buying I two would have bought a Grizzly. It was my second choice. All of these quads have some isssues, it is in how the manufacture deals with them which makes this Suzuki one so bad. The Brute Force had an issue and they hada a recall on thse sold form 7-04 to 9-04. That is how Suzuki should deal with this. I would be glad to take mine in for a permanent fix.
