My buddie (LOL) said he has heard rumor of a 8% discount to GM employees on suzuki ATV's.
Anybody heard of this and if so what are the details.

GM has two programs, one for GM employees and another for GM suppliers. Both programs will save you money on a vehicle that's selling above invoice but I don't believe you can get any deal that's less than the dealer's invoice price. On a new C6 Corvette, GM employee/supplier discounts are saving between $6K and $8K off retail.

 

I understand the discount for automobiles, my buddy said a similar program existed for suzuki ATV's.
We are just trying to find out the info and if it is true. We are both GM employees.

I had tripped over that on the board (or maybe it was ATVsquad)...but anyhow...it was a conversation between two guys from Canada. It was quite definate that GM Canada employees get an employee discount on suzuki ATVs. I have not been able to find out anywhere yet though if the discount applies in the US. I wonder if it would apply to a US GM employee buying in Canada? I'd have to make a call across the border on that one I guess.....The figure they were talking about was also 8%

 

I work at a GM plant in Canada that is half owned by Suzuki so we get a 10% discount off the best deal you can make on Suzuki products. The 10% is off the full MSRP so I can get Suzuki stuff below dealer cost if I can cut the dealer down. We build the Chevy Equinox and Suzuki is giving us a vehicle to build next year. Sometimes it pays to be a lineworkin,car buildin dumba$$.lol

how do you go about getting this discount if you are a GM employee

 

The plant I work at is a GM and Suzuki joint venture. We used to build Chev Trackers and Suzuki Sidekicks/Vitaras. So we are lucky and get the GM discount and the Suzuki discount. I wish the GM discount was like Suzuki's as it is way better, to bad Suzuki only makes Pi$$cutters for auto/truck.lol
