got the ole 88 running today,and was going through my little checklist of things,and i took off the radiator cap,to make sure the fluid was flowing,and i was watching the fliud flow by,and a big fat dead moth floated by inside the radiator! it was pretty funny. btw,when you have the cap off of the radiator,and youn rev,should the coolant flow like a big big gush or does there just need to be some current?

 

basically just some current.. not really alot..

i believe whoever owned this quad before me probbaly let it sit around with the cap off and the rad dry

 

Make sure you fish that sucker out. It might get stuck somewhere and block coolant flow.

 

i would think the impellar would pretty much destroy that moth, but yea it wouldnt be a bad idea to try and get it out.

 

That's some funny ****. I've seen stuff like that happen before. Saw some sort of bug get shot out of the exhaust on a buddies bike after it sat a few months.

 

when we got the old snowmobile, there were mice and acorns falling out of the exaust when we started it.lol. also, there weere bugs in the fuel tank.

 

Mice use to build a nest on my tractor battery every Winter. Not sure what the appeal was.
