Just bought a jet kit and k&n air filter.......had the jet kit put on but the air filter was missing a piece so i am wait to get that put on.....before the jet kit i toped out right at 50 with it i can do about 52-53.....hopefully when the air filter comes in i will gain more power. i noticed a significant throttle difference which i like..........any other mods that i can do to gain more power?

does an exhaust make a big difference in horsepower gain?

You can take the baffle out of the end of your pipe, and it gives a deeper roar and it might give some more horse power thats what some ppl are doing

You can drill holes in yer airbox to allow more air and trim the opening of the snorkel. DONT DRILL HOLES THRU THE TOP OF THE BOX.
If ya got the auto, get a clutch kit.

It raises the engagement rpm about 500 rpm and holds the driven pully closed a lil longer to allow the engine into its torque range. Then when ya are on a hill it upshifts faster to give ya more power all the way up the hill.. If ya got bigger tires this is a must. theres a kit that really works well with bigger tires but I used the standard kit ($80 approx.) and it really brought the power back that I lost going to the 26"ers. Yer top end may suffer a few mph but I still run over 50mph and on the trail thats too!!!! fast.

I ordered the clutch kit from EPI and my other parts I get from a local guy with a small shop who gives me great deals.

Get some of yer buddies together and start a club. you'l be surprised how many people you can get to join if its free and youl have someone to ride with any time you want. Then you can talk to the local shop and see if they will give you a discount. We've got 1 dealer, 1 shop, and 2 restaurants so far. They all give us some kind of discount and we only have about 15 members.
