How in the F%!@ do you get the rubber boot on the carb????? I was told that they do not make a bigger boot!!! Help before I though the F@#$%@ across the garage!

 

You bring water to a boil and drop in the boot for 3 minutes to soften it up. then wearing gloves slip the carb on the boot. Let it sit for a couple of days and then it will be streached for good.

I use a rad valve and was able to buy the bigger boot. I aslo heard you can do the warm water trick but I have seen them fall off after big jump. I hear best thing you can do is get boot of lt500 that matches your year as they had 38mm on them stock and they take same boot.Just a thought.

Thanks for the tips, It got pretty nasty in the garage for a few minutes last night, Iam going to try the water thing, while I look into the lt 500 boot, I know the last year for the Zilla was in 89, do you think it will fit my 92 lt 250r???

Actually 90 is the last year for the Zilla, and yes it should work off of a Zilla from 88-90.

 

Where would be the best place to buy a new boot? I've found a new one for $51.99. Should I buy this one or look around??

 

They pop up on ebay from time to time.
