The z250 is just an updated verson of the 250ex, if your going to be trail riding and jumping the z will be better, first off it has better shocks and more overall power than the 250ex but, overall otherwise they are the same.

The Z250 is a little bit better in every area compared to the 250EX. Not really a major difference. I'd say go with the Suzuki....

DIRT WHEELS SAID THAT THE Z-250 HAS MORE POWER BUT THEY RATED THE HONDA BETTER BECAUSE OF COMFORT BUT I HAVE A Z-250 AND IT IS AWESOME

i have a z250 and my friend has a 250ex........they are basically both the same quad. the z250 has a little bit mor cc but not as much of a low end as the 250ex, so if your gonna riding in loose terrain go with the 250ex. But from my personal experience i like the z250 a little better because it just feels like a sweeter quad to ride, and that is why i went with the z250.

All these guys are full of it, my brother has a 250ex and our riding buddy has a z250 the 250ex will pull ahead the z250 by about a quad length in a 100 yard race and the 250ex will land much bigger jumps without bottoming (still only about a 5 ft. tall 25ft long double) and yes these riders are the same ability and weight, and on the trails the 250ex will tackle much steeper slopes without feeling tippy, this is the only time that honda wins out over a suzuki

Did you ever consider suspension setup? The reason the Z250 may be bottoming out is because the suspension setup is a little bit softer than what the 250EX is set to and it also depends on the angle of the landing.

wow thats odd i just finished beating a guy with a 250ex. i wouldnt take either one off any jumps over 5-7ft high. you can also adjust the suspension on the Z250. after a day of trail raiding id rather be on a z250.
