I have about the same set up as you. If I take my airbox lid off, it starts popping. I am going to have to experiment with my jets also. What size are you running now? One thing you could do is barely turn the choke on and see if it runs better. You need to get a service manual and do the jetting yourself, seeing as you might have to rejet many times before you get it right. It will save you lots of money in the long run to buy the manual and do it yourself.

Warm your quad up, then take it for a WFO run. Hold the clutch in and shut it down. Stop, pull the plug and see what it looks like. That is the best way to jet.

Another problem i have all the time, is when i am doing a WOT 5th gear, and i pull the clutch in to come to a stop, the second i pull the clutch in, the engine dies. I have no idea why, it just dies.

I'm going through the same jetting stuff right now. I found a great tuning advice page at( www.hmfengineering.com) regardless of the pipe you run, they spell out the tuning procedure in the forums section applicable to all 4 strokes.
