Maybe a slipping clutch or low compression?

if you can be more specific on whats happening you'll get more accurate replys. from what you said there are tons of things that could be wrong.

sorry, to be more specific i dont think that it is the clutch, and the plug in it is brand new, when i start if i dont constantly give it gas it will die and if i go past quarter throttle it will backfire and bog down. and when i pulled the old plug it was completely black. i dont know if it could be carb. also it has a ton of compression so i have no idea what is wrong.

I had a similar problem with mine. It would run good and bad like someone was fliping a switch while I was riding. When it ran bad, it was louder, it backfired, and it had hardly any power. I checked and rechecked everything mechanical and nothing was wrong. It turned out to be my CDI. It sounds like yours might be worse than mine because yours runs bad all the time. Mine was in the process of going bad and that's why it would sometime run good.
