i jjst got a z, and i was wondering, the oil pan is filled up to the cap with oil, but, there is a 2 and a half inch dipstick. i know this probably isnt a big dael, but i was just wondering. i dont have an owners manual.

 

You are over filled. The dip stick should have a an area marked by xxxxxxxxxxxxx on it. Opitimal oil limit, would be in the middle. I think it takes just under 3 qts. of oil.

what can happen if it is overfilled??

 

If it's over filled, you run the risk of blowing seals and putting extra strain on the engine.

 

2.2 quarts with filter change.
