how well does the z hold up with the yfz or trx or even the predator?

Depends on the type of riding I would imagine.
What type did you have in mind??

Default z400 recomendations
If your riding in woods the Z is hard to beat.
If your going to do more racing than trail riding you'll probably
want one of the other three, although the Z still does good on a track too.
