Default Polaris 800 vs KQ, having major second thoughts...

Pleas help!!

I have had a Polarais Sprotsman 800 for a couple of months now, I like it! The problem is I just bought my wife a Suzuki KQ, and I love it???

Will the 800 shine in the mtn's over the KQ or are they about the same? The wife's KQ flat out takes the 800 on flat ground.

The question here is Keep the 800 or get another 700 KQ, What are your opinions. I am about 2hrs away from calling my dealer!

I agree with what you are saying!

However, like I said I had more fun on the KQ and it would be nice to have two of the same for buying parts and so on...

I am just curious if I will be sorry once I hit the big mud and rocks with the KQ?

maybe? No I had experience with a Polaris. But it might have been bad luck, and maybe they are better know. it was a 1996, and it was a 2 stroke. It ran good after I got the engine and transmission rebuilt. I did not like the sound the clutch made. but that is my opinion,

I have a kingquad and I like it, I have a Vinson and I like it. and if you like riding the kingquad better get one,

The big 800 will dive deep in the snow...the extra 200 pounds, at least the one my Dad drove with seems like it did. I've not been on an 800, but I've been told they are really smooth on the trails, certyainly not as light feeling as the KQ ..but very comfortable.
I've not been hearing all the talk about the 800 being great in the mud, is it too heavy??? I check out the polaris forums now and again...but just have not heard that it is the top dog... suprizes me... I really thought we would hear of it being the best mudder of all time...but seems like the owners are pretty quiet if it is?
You really can't go wrong with either quad...

I know why you are thinking that way though, the KQ has a very light feel to it, I've not ever felt as light on any quad I've been on...baring sports quads. It just seems to me to be very stable and easy to whip around the trails. You never really get the feeling that you are fighting the thing to keep the pace...

However above 50 it starts to feel a little less in control... not wild or anything, just not as stable as it does below that.. IMO. At 65 it seems just scary, but I have 26 inch 589's on it too...that can't help LOL! I would think the heavier 800 would have a better feel to it above 50 for sure!

This is the first time I hear that the kingquad is faster than the 800 polaris.

I have been riding my K.Q. in the mud here the last week or so...this thing has no problem in the mud at all! I would reccomend that you get a winch...just in case. This quad is a blast...ecspecially in the mud! My friend has a polaris...and he has been salivating every time he gets around the K.Q.!
