ok my friend has a quadzilla me and him were riding and he was driving along probaly around 50-60 mph and he was slowing down just hitting the brake and the quad locked up the quad will still run but you cant find neutral at all if its sitting there and you pull in the clutch you can click through all 5 gears but when you try to drive it it will go about 3 ft then die. i was just wondering you opinion on this. its an 87 LT500

 

I honestly am not sure but it definatly sounds like a bad thing. give it a little time there are some people with a lot of knowledge on here. If you dont find any help after a while you can always check out macdizzy's fourms. 10 dollars for a year but they do know basically everything.

 

I would check for oil in the tranny first, then look for a broken clutch plate. It sounds like clutch issues to me. If the clutch is ok I'd be draining the oil to check for metal stuff in there and mentally preparing myself to split the cases. I know I tried a different type of oil in my crankcase once and the clutch wouldn't work at all is this a possibility? Good luck

 

mine did something like that and second gear was welded to the shaft it spins on. not a good thing. i hape you have better luck.
