King Quad FI lights
#1
Just picked up my KQ last week. Have about 100 easy miles on it so far. Today the FI light next to the fuel guage and the red FI light came on. It has not started since. Had to be towed about miles out of the woods by my buddies SP 500.
I read in the manual that you should take it in for service. What is the cause and the fix for those that have had this problem?
Thanks
Doug

I'm the new owner of an 05 KingQuad, its only about 3weeks old.On our first ride at rabbit creek my engine died and the FI light came on and it wouldn't start . I had to be towed about 2 miles to my truck. I took it to my dealer and they changed out the ECM and I was on my way. I only had 6 hours on the Quad.I've got about 15 hours on it now and its running strong.

The only time I've seen the red FI light was when I laid mine over. I pushed it over and it started right up. My ECM was replaced as part of the "reverse recall" I have noticed a slight loss of torque in reverse and in low, but nothing to worry about.
I believe as part of the reverse recall my ECM is covered for 5 years.
