Hey guys i have a question, what is faster a z400 or predator stock for stock and by how much. also if you know what could a z400 beat and what can it keep up with. thankz for helping cause i want to sell my 300ex wich has mods, and want to get a faster quad if anyone has recomdations plaese tell me.

 

Stock vs. Stock the predator is just a tad faster in a straight line with good traction. On a trail the Z is faster because it is much lighter. These two quads really are not in the same catagorie. The predator kind of fits in better with the raptor and the KFX700? and the DS650. The Z400 is a direct competitor with the 400ex. Back to your origional question, it depends on where you are going to be riding. The Z also responds better to simple Mods than the Predator. The predator does have a better suspension that the 04 LTZ's I'm not sure about the 05's I havn't gotten a chance to ride one yet but they are supposed to be much better. I have a Stock Z and ride with three Predators often and I can hang with them anywhere and on tight trails I eat them alive. The Z also far outperformes a stock 400ex. Put a pipe and better filter along with rejetting and the Z400 is one of the best quads on the market.

 

The predator's top speed is around 73-75 max, and the Z400s top speed is approx 70-72. These numbers are both stock. As far as which quad is better that is really up to you but i prefer the z400 because it is a great all aroung machine for woods or race. The Z/dvx/kfx 400 is the fastest of all the 400's stock. i went from a modded 300ex to a kfx400. I enjoy riding a million times more since i got it. Youll love the differance.
