Default Liquid Cooling

hey guyz...ive been ridin for about 10 years...currently have a z400...but i never have had to put more liquid cooling in the quad bcuz i go to shops to get it fixed and they refill it...so what do i buy to fill the liquid cooling tank? man this is a lame question...feel like a dumb@$$....please help bcuz im going riding this whole weekend and the tank is like empty, and its suposed to be about 100 degrees tomorrow...thanks guyz/gals for any help

do you mean radiator or puke bootle? either way put radiator fluid in it but if you are in a hurry you can use water

ummm im not really sure...im only 14 haha sorry....im just starting to learn the insides of a quad...so i can repair stuff and know wat the hell im doing =) its on the left side of the z400 and on the front in that little container with H (high?) and L (low?) on it...and the liquid in it rite now is about a couple cm. to nothing...so im way below the 'L' line...please tell me thats the liquid coolant tank so i dont look like a complete retard =(...either way it needs to be filled up again...do you know what im talking about? anyone?

looking at the picture it looks like the puke bottle. What a puke bottle is is when your radiator gets to hot(boiling) the fluid needs to go somewhere so instead of bursting out of your radiator it goes into the bottle. So just fill it up with radiator fluid or water but also check your radiator to make sure it is full. The only stupid question is one that doent get an awnser so ask as many as you want you need to learn some how.

I wouldn't fill it with plain water. You need to use an antifreeze/coolant designed for use in aluminum engines/radiators. Mix it at least 50/50 with distilled water, NOT tap water. Check the level often the next few rides and add as needed.

Yes that's the reservior for the radiator. Have your parents take you to a local Wal-Mart, Shop-ko, Auto-Zone, etc. & look or ask for Ready To Use 50/50 anti-freeze. It comes in 1 gallon jugs, and cost about $6-$9 depending on where you buy it at.
