Default Q-racer a arm bushings

Anyone have any advice for putting replacement bearings in?
It took me about 3 hours just to get top and bottom arms off just because the old bearings were so shot, they were hanging on the bolts.
Now that there off, I can see that the old bearing races are FIRMLY stuck in there, years of dirts etc.
Drill them out? Hone? or shop for a -arms?

I have a set that I just had powdered coated however, I decided to go with aftermarket. Let me know if you need them.

email sent.

FYI... Unless you have a press, it is very difficult to remove the old races. I have been there many times. It is not fun. Even if you have a press, it will take lots of wd-40 and torch to get them out.

Qracer, let me save you alot of hassle first take the right size deep well socket and make sure its just a little bit smaller and drive it through. They can really be stubborn but they will come out then go to richardsbushings.com for 70 bucks you can get everything you need, Most bearing kits are 50 bucks per arm. Just my two cents hope it helps...

rooster,

I used that method on several occasions with the assistance of a torch (heat). Just be careful not to damage/bend the a-arm.

I did the socket method too, I believe it was a 17mm, the socket wont take a ratchet anymore but I have new bearings.
