Default Lt500 questions

I had an awesome weekend at Pismo. Bike ran great except. I noticed the more I rode it, it was getting easier to kick over and 5th gear did not pull at all. Granted in fourth, I was doing 60 on my trailtech, I just felt like it used to pull.

The last change I made was about a year ago. It was a new aluminum head with a 66 or 69cc dome in it. The o-rings have done a great job. The plug was burning great. Just lookin for some suggestions.

Last thing, It is an 89 Lt500r , .090 on the cylinder, Boyseen Reeds last time I checked, Trinity stage 2 on the motor, with brass inserts in the walls. Gearing is stock.

have you done a compression test? If I had to guess... it sounds like a rebuild might be in your future.

I do not have a compression check gage set yet, but am picking one up soon. If the reeds were cracked wouldn't that also prevent some of the compression stroke??
