Default DG pipe?

hey guys my friend has a 1993 warrior with a DG pipe on it and his nabors are making him change it because it is to loud...so he is buying a new pipe and i was wondering if that DG pipe would fit on my 1989 LT250S he said he would give it to me for 20bucks and i love the way it sounds...do you think it would work good on my LT? or would it just push my engine to much and make it blow?

Thanks

Why bother with a pipe that is obviously way too loud? Anyting is possible if your dead set on doing it, just watch american chopper on monday nights. Break out the blue tip wrench and welder.

If the inlets are the same size it would work I would think. They are both four strokes similar in size, it would require you to rejet. For 20.00 the worst you are out is the price of a couple of hamburger dinners and you could probably resell it if it dosn't work.

Just remember to rejet or you could burn a piston.

the jets are in the carburator. They regulate your fuel mixture (rich or lean), when you put on a higher flowing exhaust thet moves more air through the motor and that requires more fuel. If your motor dosn't get that extra fuel it will run lean, and a lean motor will increase combustion temps and burn up parts. If you google or even do a search on rejetting here you will find a wealth of information. Jet kits are relatevely cheap 10 to 20 dollars.
