I have a stock one and I was just wondering what kind of top speed I should be expectiong. I was seeing from 63 to about 66 or so is that about right? I thought it was like 69-71? It is an '03

they r deffinitly faster then 69-71 yesterday i was chased by the cops on the streets n trails n we wer goin more then 71 mph unfortunetly they just waited at my house for me to come home n wen i got there there was a flatbed waitin for me.

 

I guess it must be the altitude(4000+ feet) I could only get 63 as a max so says the GPS. I guess it could be cause I weigh like 200 lbs though too!

My wifes Z 250 went about 48 MPH.

 

Not sure. I got 57 going up hill at 2500ft here.

 

weight is a factor too..stock gearing on the z will not let you go fast than what your saying, your full of it if you say yours will go faster than 69-71.plus i hope the cops took you away too

 

yo blackbird whats ur problem i hope the cops took u away 2 no1 asked thats no wat we wer talkin about we wer talkin about top speed so dnt so things that are uncalled for jsut keep ur mouth shut with things liek that n say it to ur self

 

I will have to play with the jetting. Maybe a new plug. I just don't know...

Oh yeah and I have to agree you won't go much faster then 71. I was looking at the gear ratio chart and it is bout impossible...
