My 2002 Vinson doesn't seem to be getting the power that it should. It almost seems like it isn't getting fuel, however; I have taken the carb apart and it looked clean. Has anybody had this problem before if so what solution did you come up with?

It seems like it is starving for gas I start out with good power and then it just seems like it is not getting the fuel and then it will kick in again and then do the same thing again. I have cleaned the air filter and it didn't seem to do anything. In addition, the gas is getting to the carb ok. I figured I would put a new spark plug in and clean the air filter again. I was just hoping that someone had the same problem and the solution was something different then I already tried???

Check your gas tank vent tube and see if it is blocked and not letting your tank get air. This will make one run good and then slowly starve for fuel.

Good call BigDad! We had that happen with a z400 we were testing. Baffled us for a while. We un-clogged the vent tube, and ~viola'~ power was back.
