Default KingQuad Modules.....Any News?

Anybody got anything regarding electronics to cure the low-end lag on the King? The updates and streaming information have kind of gone quiet....

Default KingQuad Modules.....Any News?

I just read today on Nyroc's site where a guy has a prototype made and has been doing some testing with it and getting good results. This was confirmed by a girl who he raced with her stock KQ on the highlifter site. His name is alltoys, check it out on Nyroc's. It looks like best results are with a powercommander or something to add fuel with the module. However just with the module he beat the stock KQ by 3 quad lengths in 300 ft.

Yeah I read that as well, but he's not telling anyone how to make it (doubt I really could even if he did tell me unless it's incredibly simple) nor trying to sell copies of it. I also heard that the fuel pressure is not being advanced to match the timing causing serious problems so a fuel minder for snowmobiles had to be added to make the module work efficiently. Highlifter responded to my e-mail by saying they couldn't divulge any information, but something was coming "SOON!" I hate being left in the dark.....

Yeah, but you can probably get the same gains just by removing the airbox snorkel, spark arrestor and balancing it out with a Dobeck TFI for a lot less money.

Are you serious? Just doing that can help you wheelie easier, that's the only thing about the KQ I'm not happy with is the fact I can't do a good wheelie.

We were in some sled pulls this weekend sponsored by a Zuki dealer. We talked him into entering a KQ. The sled was WAY!!! too much for the KQ. 650 Prairies were out pulling it by more than double the distance. The KQ took off way too slow and never gained any momentum. After the 3rd run it started running bad. The dealer later explained that the KQ has a rev limiter that kicks in when the load is too heavy ( Huh??).

My Eiger out-pulled everyone but the 450 Foremans in the under 499cc class.

I really want one of those Kings but I keep reading and hearing bad things. I assumed someone would have a new CDI to make the most of that awsome engine but it isn't looking that way. I've experienced the difference the module makes on the Prairies. Whats going on over at Dyna???

I used to think the Twin Air was necessary with the aforementioned setup as well. However, I think guys are just adding them because they don't like the paper one that comes on the machine, not really for flow advantages. So I think removing the snorkel gets you all the boost in the intake department you need, though I could very easily be wrong.
