Default Z250 Pipe??

I am looking at the White Brothers E2 silencer and the DMC Alien for my Z250. The DMC is 50$ more than the WB but it is a full system and the WB pipe is only a slip on and I was wondering which one is better for the money, also for over all durability and power? Also if I change my pipe do I have to jet? Thanks

The DMC is a waist because they say its a full system but the headpipe is the same size as stock so you basiclly get a slip on with a shiny header. Go with the E2, it is better allaround. You might have to rejet, depending on how it is right now, if it is a little rich, you wont have to rejet, if it is a little lean, rejet.

awesome, how would you rate the change in power on the z250 using an E2 1 being "no different" and 10 being "wow this is a whole new bike"??

One of the atv mags did that pipe like 6 months ago, I have looked for the mag but can't find it. They had a before and after dyno sheet. If you are going to spend money on a pipe, go ahead and get a better breathing air filter (uni, twin air, k&n) and remove or modify your airbox lid and get a jet kit. You still want have a 400, but your throttle response will really wake-up. In fact, you could modify your air box, rejet, and pull your spark arrestor out and save $300+.

I will look again for that mag and maybe you could get the back issue.

without a doubt get the WB E2 pipe...you will see huge gains with just that slip-on pipe...i hve the article that they tested that pipe too but cant find it either cuz i have to many mags...but that is the best pipe for the z250...like wannabe1 said rejet the the carb take off your airbox lid and get a good aftermarket filter...i like twinair and feel they let your quad breat the best...but yeah the dyno chart was really up there from stock with this pipe...they said you get alot of low end power with this pipe and samething with mid-top end...its a great pipe and lots of performance in that package...get it youll love it...yeah the DMC is nothing great..you dont get alot of power from it and i heard it falls aparts qucikly...

I would do the trinity or the big gun.I have the big gun, i heard the trinity is a real good 4 stroke pipe.Z250freak is right the dmc is a waist because the header is the same size just shinny i woudint do the white brother because it is a slip on. Why waist your time with a slip on, just get a full system and jet it so you can get maximum performance.Slip ons to me just basicaly give a lil power but mainly makes your bike louder you need power so i would reconsider your idea on what pipe to use.

i heard that trinity stop making exhaust's for the z250... but anywayz yeah the big guns are nice pipes too...but the WB silencer is really a sick pipe...like you wont believe the power gains you get from it...its pretty much like a full system if you take off the airbox lid and jet the carb right...most slip-on do just add alot of sound and no real major power gains but the E2 pipe is totally not like that...i tryied to tell my friend with his z250 to get the WB but went with the Yoshi slip-on instead cuz like the sound and looks of the pipe..i dont know too much about the big gun but know that you will love the E2 slip-on and thw power gains you get from it....

WB pipe sounds good. But i have a question on the z250 the air box lid has a top piece you can out take out which when taken out is a box opening that is maybe only a few inches wide and a few inches tall when i took it out and rode yesterday it made my bike kind of bogey. Is this because i have the stock filter? or what

yeah thats probably your problem...or your jetting maybe off a liitle...id get an aftermarket filter and see what happends...you'd be surpriced at how much a nice aftermarket filter helps you quad breath...and if you are running an open airbox lid with an aftermarket filter youll be taking in twice as much air as if you had your stock filter...so what was happening is you can only take in so much air with your stock filter and with your full exhaust system and your jetted carb it was not enough air coming in as gas to the carb... so the air/fuel mixture was off... in your case you were taking in more gas than air with your bigger jets...and when you dont have the right air/fuel mixture it messes up everything how your motor runs and how much gas your taking in along with air... so this was cuzing your quad to boge down...but all in all get a good know company aftermarket airfilter like twinair/k&N) i heard bad things about uni-filter and someone i know mess up there whole motor and everything cuz it sucked in sand... i like twinair the best...cuz i always stay with foam filters cuz they are better for riding in dirt and stuff...
