Default lrd pipe for '90 lt250

I just bought a lt250 for my son. It had a home made pipe on it. I happen upon a closeout bin full of pipes ---one said lt250 8?-92. I paid $129 for it. It 's an lrd adjustable. It didn't quite fit and I had to have a section welded on to the silencer so it would semi-fit. Question is did lrd make a pipe for the lt 250r?---I'm thinking it was mislabeled and was for a honda 250r (since it didn't fit) Also input , how do you get it to seal (around the adjustable part)? Thanks for any input.

I'm pretty sure LRD made pipes for the LT250R. If it was a Honda pipe it wouldn't come even close to useable on your bike. Not sure on sealing around the slip joint though. You should be able to make that pipe really work, tuning to the motor's powerband.

the silencer could have been made for a 91-92 LT, because they had a different bend than the 87-90. I hope you do realize how much you could sell that exhaust for...that was/is still definitely the most desireable exhaust made for the LT.

You could more than double your money if you put it on ebay.
