I used high temp ceramic engine paint. even though i completly cleaned the surface using a bead blaster i doesn't seem like it is going to hold up for more than a year. If i had to do it again i would def. go with powder coat.

In order to powder coat the cases they will have to be split. If you just plan on painting the bottom end when you change your rings i would try to find a better paint then i used... while it looks good it just won't hanlde chipping like powder coat. I fear that a few rocks bouncing off the caseses will chip it pretty badly.

No one noticed that i'm using an aluminum kick start? Anyone care to venture a guess as to what the kicker originally came from?

On a sad not i just performed a leak down test and it failed.. not really bad but enough for me to get it right.... leaking near the intake and the reed cage, at least it'll only take 10-15 minutes to fix and test again.... with any luck it'll be ready to drop in the frame by Sat.
