Default Z400 Rear Grab bar suggestions...

Hey all,

I was out riding today, and the Stock Grab Bar gave way... Took out the rear tail light as well

So now i am in the market for a new grab bar... I'd like to get the Yoshimura grab bar, but its $140!!!!!! That's kind of outragous...

So is there a good aftermarket grab bar that may be stronger than the stock one?

Thanks,

-TheChad

Hi ThaChad,

The Yosh one is nice, but as you said its expensive. We can ship you one for $99.00.

Other brands include Armor(about $45.00) DG National Series (about $55.00), AC makes a wide grab bar, as well as the normal size and they run around $38.00. Moose makes one and it runs around $48.00. DG also makes the GNCC Series Wide Bars for around 62.00.

If interested in getting one, feel free to call Mike at 1-800-646-7612 from 9am to 6pm eastern time.

Hope this helps

That is REALLY dissapointing to hear! For the price, and the name, I would assume they are the strongest one!

Does the AC Grab Bar come painted like the stock grab bar?

If i'm not getting the Yoshimura Grab bar, i want to get one that basically looks the same as the stock one, but made better...

Thanks,

-ThaChad

SuzukiRacer51:

Was that wheelie on dirt, or asphalt? How hard did you hit?

My stock Grab bar has been tapped about 4 times on grass, while doing wheelies... The last time was by my fauther in-law and he back back HARD, which is why it bent, and i am in the market for a new one...

Despite the bend, there are only minor scratches on the bar it self...

Thanks,

-ThaChad

hey thaChad, I was on a dirt road riding a wheelie form first to second and I went over just as clicked into second..and no it wasn't hard..the yoshimura grab bar has those little plastic rings around them..but those busted off and its got a lot of dents in and after that i took it off and put my stock one back on. And Ive never put it on the bumper since..and i do alot of wheelies.
