King Quad Problems??
#2
I'm in the process of buying a new quad...
My final choice would be a KingQuad 700..... I'm aware of the reverse issue... but what's that about the falty ECM's... I've been reading different posts, and a few KQ owners have had problems... the quad just died on them.
I test drove the KQ and was very pleased... but i don't want to regret my purchase in a few months!
So can anyone tell me if the problems with the ECM's are still hapening!
Thanks

Hey cool, a fellow New Brunswicker. I have had my KQ for over a month now with 400km on it and no problems! It is the best quad I have ever owned. This thing goes over obstacles and through deep mud like nothing I have ever ridden. Reverse works great in the mud, never needed to use Rev.override yet, anyway if it does'nt move after 5 seconds use the winch. I am getting a second winch for the rear end, Princess Auto has them onsale in Moncton for $75.00, 2000lbs with 6ft wired remote.
Buy the King, you won't regret it.

Although I must say I am one, few people are experiencing the ECM problems and it's a matter of having your dealer swap it out (they won't let you do it yourself) or buying a backup just in case you're worried about it. Chances are, if you don't fry it in a very small amount of miles (mine went in 14), you've got an ok ECM and it will never happen. It just seems as though every once in awhile they turned out a crappy one. If Suzuki wouldn't have them built out-of-house, it wouldn't be a problem.

I bought my King in February and have not broken down. But, Suzuki has recalled me to service my quad for brakes, and the reverse issue of which they replaced my ECM.
I love my King. It is a great workhorse and provides the best and smoothest ride out there. I have not gotten it stuck and there is not an obsticle it can't climb over.
Buy the King, you won't be sorry.

I had the 598's on my last quad (02 Eiger) they worked great in the snow so long as it is hardpack or not very deep. I found that if you gave it too much power they would dig deep hole real fast and then you would be stuck. Of course the same can be said for any tire I guess. I really like the Mudlights I have on mine. A friend of mine who has a 660 Grizzly has the same size Mudlights as mine and drove all last winter without a problem. Time will tell how I like the Mudlights in the winter on the KQ.

I have 1100 hard miles on my KQ and I haven't had a single issue with this excellent machine.
Best all around ATV on the market.
Buy the King. It floats across the trails like a magic carpet ride.
