change jet size?????

I have a 1986 lt250r, and i have one of Uni's best airfilters, and a fmf powercore exhaust, and i was wondering, would this be enough mods to change the Jet size in the carb?
i am not sure what stock jetting is in the carb(stock Mikuni carb), but should i change the jet? if i should, or can, what jet should i change to?

Do you have an FMF head pipe also or just the silencer?? And, what is your elevation in Colorado?? My '86 250 'racer is jetted at 240 main, needle clip lowered 1 notch & air screw in 1 turn from stock. But, I'm only at around 500 feet above sea level.

my elevation is around 5,000ft..... Guessing
should i just use a 220 jet? and what does lowering the needle (in the seat) one notch do?
and i dont have the fmf Fatty, just the powercore.(tail pipe)
