The owner's manual says after first 100 and then every 1200 miles, but I thought the dealer told me every 600 miles.

 

The factory service manual says the same as the owners manual, but personally I do it at the beginning and end of every season, and/or at the end of any particularly long and nasty weekends of riding (I know it's overkill, but it's only a couple bucks and makes me feel better).

 

I change mine twice a year. Before the summer season, and before the winter season. I always run synthetic but change the weights acording to the season. I usually put about 400-800 miles in the summer. And about 100-200 in the winter.

 

I change mine evry 10th ride or so.
