Default 2005 KQ - please tell me it gets better

I just ran my 1st tank of gas through my 2005 KQ, at 47 miles my gas light started blinking. Please tell me it gets better than this !!!!! I'm not a WOT kind of guy so I know its not me. So what is everybody elses gas mileage and does anybody know how many miles you can get after the light starts blinking???

My KingQuad has 170km (or about 100 miles) so far, it's not even broken-in yet... (I bought it last week)

My calculation of my mileage is about 30mpg (canadian gallon is 4.54 liters). I'm very satisfied so far....

But it all depends on the way and on the type terrain you drive your quad.

Default 2005 KQ - please tell me it gets better

I was just out yesterday and put over 230kms on. At 115km I topped up the tank and the fuel gauge said I was at half, the tank holds 17Liters according to Suzuki and I used a whole 10L gas can to top it off. Upon the return home I took mostly the same trail, except for the part where I got lost the first time and I finished the ride at half a tank again.

I was riding mostly fire and logging roads, very little 4x4 or low gear and I rode at between 45 - 70 km/hr. I was most impressed as I can go farther on a tank of gas on the KQ than I could on my Eiger which was a 400 with 1L more in the tank! Right now I have 505km on the odometer.

Vincereeder, dont worry too much about when the light starts blinking on the first tank. My king did the same thing, started blinking and I still had quite a bit of gas left. As you break in the mileage gets alot better.
